THOUGHTS

Understanding what is meant by the term ‘Wigger’: the use in historical reference and in current context. What attri- butes does someone posses to be labeled or classed to be a ‘wigger’.

What is intended by the expression to describe someone or something to be ‘black’?

What is so appealing in black culture for the white British youths who adopt the characteristic associated and amerce themselves in the lifestyle?

What role does commerce and media play in interpreting and selling to the British wigger?

Examine how wiggers are portrayed in popular culture through the means of com- mercial advertising, fashion, music, etc.

Are white people consciously or not stealing black culture, perhaps merely as a fad, or is this a sign in an evermore multi-cultural society where race irrelevant?
